Cape Symphony performs a free outdoor fourth of July concert

Thanks, Cape Cod!

Thanks for a wonderful Fourth of July celebration! Thousands of people enjoyed Joy4July on the Fourth!

The free Cape Symphony show, led by Artistic Director & Conductor Jung-Ho Pak, was held at Aselton Park overlooking Hyannis Harbor as part of the Town of Barnstable Fourth of July celebrations. The weather was perfect and the crowd loved it.

We’d like to thank CAI, the public radio station for the Cape, the Coast, and the Islands, our media partner for “Joy4July,” for their live broadcast. WKKL, Cape Cod Community College's student radio station at 90.7 FM, also broadcasted the concert live on July 4.

We’d also like to thank the Music Performance Trust Fund; the instrumental music for this occasion is made possible in part by funds supplied by the Recording Companies of the United States and Canada through the MPTF, a public service organization created under agreements with the American Federation of Musicians. The grant for this performance was obtained with the cooperation of AFM Local No. 9-535.

Our special thanks to the Town of Barnstable and the wonderful colleagues there who worked so hard to make this community celebration possible!

Next up: Symphony at the Seashore, a free concert at the Cape Cod National Seashore on Friday, August 26 at 7:00 PM.
