This clip from the Cape Symphony's "ENJOY!" show features Quartett Giocosa performing “Danse Macabre,” a tone poem by Camille Saint-Saens.

Quartett Giocosa is Heather Goodchild Wade, violin; Irina Fainkichen, violin; Irina Naryshkova, viola; and Elizabeth Schultze, cello. “Giocosa” means “joy” in Italian, and this quartet of Cape Symphony musicians delivers joy in every performance.

Check out this amazing performance from the Cape Symphony’s 2016 concert “The Silk Road and Beyond.” A traditional Korean Drum Dance, Samgomu is sometimes called "three drum dance" or standing "drum dance." Each dancer is surrounded on three sides by drums, which are hung on square frames. The drums are positioned so that dancers can hit each one as they play complex rhythms and move in perfect synchronization.

For the Cape Symphony’s 2016 concert “The Silk Road and Beyond,” Artistic Director & Conductor Jung-Ho Pak commissioned composer Kyle Newmaster to compose a piece for Samgomu, a traditional Korean drum dance. Kyle's sister Brooke created the choreography. Jung-Ho talks to Brooke and Kyle about "Impressions of Cheonmachong," a new concerto for Samgomu and orchestra.
