Jung-Ho interviews the Cape Symphony’s new executive director, Mike Albaugh. Jung-Ho and Mike first met many years ago at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, when Jung-Ho was a guest conductor for the World Youth Orchestra. Mike came in to direct the music education program, and hired Jung-Ho to join the music faculty. The two worked together for six years, and are thrilled to be working together again. Composer Barak Schmool wrote "20th Meridian," a journey through the African countries along the line of longitude 20 degrees east of Greenwich, England. The piece was composed specifically for the Cape Symphony, led by Artistic Director & Conductor Jung-Ho Pak, to perform with the trio Chesaba: Abel Selaocoe on cello, Sidiki Dembélé on on African drums djembe, kora, ngoni, and calabash, and Alan Keary on bass guitar.
