Each student must complete a registration form and remit required deposit or payment in full to secure class registration.  Payment Plans are available. Every student’s account must be current in order to register for classes/lessons; we reserve the right to suspend classes/lessons for non-payment of tuition.

Non-Refundable Registration Fee
There is a $30 non-refundable registration fee per student per academic year, with a $50 maximum per family. This fee is reduced to $10 per class during the summer trimester. Registration fees are waived for students ages 65 and up as a senior discount. The registration fee will only be refunded if the Cape Symphony cancels a class.

Non-Discrimination Statement
The Cape Symphony does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, ability or sexual orientation.

Promotional Permission
From time to time, the Cape Symphony photographs/audio-video-records students participating in its classes/programs. By registering, unless notified in writing otherwise, students and/or the parents or guardians of students grant the Cape Symphony permission to use these photographs/videos/audio recordings, and/or images of student artwork, in future promotional material.

Class Cancellations
The Cape Symphony reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient enrollment.  In this case, we will issue a full refund, including registration fee.

If an instructor is unable to attend a scheduled session for any reason, he/she will offer a make-up session within the current semester whenever possible. If an instructor is unable to schedule a make-up session, the Cape Symphony will issue a credit for a future lesson/class to the student’s account.

Weather- or Emergency-Related Closings
Should the Cape Symphony campuses close because of adverse weather or other emergencies, we will schedule make-up sessions.

The Cape Symphony follows the Falmouth and Barnstable Public Schools’ closing policies. We will cancel all classes at our Falmouth campus, if the Falmouth Public Schools cancel classes, have an early dismissal or cancel after-school activities. We will have a late arrival if the Falmouth Public Schools have a late arrival.

We will cancel all classes at our Barnstable campus if the Barnstable Public Schools cancel classes, have an early dismissal or cancel after-school activities. We will have a late arrival if the Barnstable Public Schools have a late arrival.

Attendance
Because scheduling a lesson has a direct impact on many others, it is important that students attend all classes at the assigned times. Prior to any absence, please notify the Cape Symphony during regular business hours by calling 508.362.2772 (Barnstable) or 508.540.0611 (Falmouth). Instructors are under no obligation to provide a make-up lesson or class due to a student’s absence. Students with lapsed attendance from lessons or classes are obligated to pay for the remainder of the semester. No refunds or credits will be issued for missed lessons or classes. In the event of an extreme situation, please contact the Director of Engagement.

Withdrawal Information
Students who are withdrawing from a class must submit a written Notice of Withdrawal to the Cape Symphony’s Barnstable campus. The Cape Symphony will issue a full refund, minus the registration fee, to students withdrawing at least 5 business days prior to the first class.  The Cape Symphony will not issue refunds to students withdrawing after a class commences; however, we will send students a letter confirming a tax-deductible donation equal to the amount of unused tuition.
