Mind-Body Music: Mitigate Stress With Music

In this four-week class for adults, you will explore music as a vehicle for inspiring joy through the practice of wellness. You’ll learn how to combat stress by eliciting the relaxation response with your favorite music and incorporate mind-body techniques derived from mindfulness, meditation, and yoga practices in your daily life. Students will learn to play the kalimba and receive an instrument to use at home.

  • Develop music-based wellness strategies that are individually tailored to your own daily life
  • Discover how to use the biological tendencies of the human body and mind to mitigate stress
  • Explore relevant scientific research studies and brain scans
  • Practice elements of mindfulness, meditation, and yoga
  • Learn music-based mini-meditations so you can elicit the relaxation response anytime and anywhere

For ages 18 and up.

Choose to attend at either one of our campuses or online.

Thursdays, September 22 to October 13:
Online from 10:00 to 11:30 AM
Falmouth Campus from 2:00 to 3:30 PM
Barnstable Campus from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
