Yoko Waynen
Yoko Furihata Waynen began studying violin at the age of 3 at the original Suzuki school called “The Talent Education Institute” in Nagano, Japan and on occasion, she was fortunate to receive advice from Dr. Shinichi Suzuki himself. She holds her bachelor degree from Soai University in Osaka where she was a student of Machie Oguri. Later, she studied at the University of Wyoming and Longy School of Music in Cambridge. She is a faculty member at the Cape Conservatory as well as a member of the Cape Symphony. She joined the faculty at Sandwich Montessori School in the fall of 2013 teaching basic Japanese to pre-school students.
