Volunteer Opportunities
We can’t do it without you.
Our mission is carried out through volunteering, concert attendance, financial gifts, fundraising events, supporting education programs, and promoting the Cape Symphony in the community. Take a look at the opportunities below.
Administration
Handle tasks like stuffing envelopes, filing, data entry, and photocopying.
Events
Assist at recitals or other events, or help by providing or serving refreshments to performers and attendees.
Marketing
Spread the news about the Cape Symphony by helping to distribute materials to Cape libraries, schools, and other locations.
Fundraising
Volunteer jobs include planning, getting prizes and sponsorships, event décor, or hosting events.
Symphony Shoppe
Located in the concert hall lobby at Cape Symphony concerts, the Shoppe has great gifts, and all proceeds benefit our educational programs. Volunteers work in the Shoppe, helping to set up before the concert and take down afterwards, selling products before the concert and during the intermission.
Concert Usher
Concert ushers are responsible for helping guests find their seats for Cape Symphony performances. Duties include:
- Greet patrons and distribute programs
- Check tickets and provide guidance to seats
- Show patrons where to find exits, bathrooms, and concession stands
- Answer various questions
- Provide assistance to patrons with special needs
Musician Home Stay
Provide overnight lodging for off-Cape musicians as needed.
