At this season’s Holiday on the Cape concerts, Cape Symphony will lead a Holiday Pops Care Drive in collaboration with The Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center (CIVOC). CIVOC’s mission to provide comprehensive life sustaining services for veterans and their families is one we fully support, and we know our audiences do, too.
In partnership with the Cape Cod Council of Churches’ StreetReach for the Homeless program, CIVOC aims to reach veterans and homeless veterans with basic toiletry items that can make a difference in their daily lives.
While you’re shopping online or out and about on your errands, please consider adding some of these essential items to your cart to contribute to the effort. Self-care can be especially challenging for veterans experiencing homelessness, and travel sizes are especially appreciated.
Let's fill the donation bins with:
Travel Sized Lotions
Bars of Soap
Nail Kits, Nail Files
Travel Sized Shampoo & Conditioner
Travel Sized Toothpaste
Travel Sized Deodorant
Travel Sized Mouth Wash
First Aid Kits
Travel Sized Packets of Tissues
Feminine Hygiene Products
Volunteers will be standing by at each of our Holiday on the Cape concerts to collect your donations. No contribution is too small; every single item will make someone’s life a little easier.
Thank you, Cape Symphony patrons, for caring about our community and doing what you can to help veterans in need, especially those without shelter. We’re grateful for your joining with us to help provide them these basic items.
