Thank you for your interest in hosting a Cape Symphony Orchestra musician!
Through the CSO Musician Residency Initiative, community members host CSO musicians in their homes during concert weeks (no longer than Wednesday – Sunday). This creates a unique cultural experience and fosters strong community bonds. In return for their hospitality, hosts will receive free concert tickets and the opportunity to engage directly with our talented musicians.
Eligibility Criteria for Hosts:
- Must be a Cape Cod resident.
- Should have a spare room or suitable accommodation for a musician.
- Willing to host a musician from Wednesday to Sunday once a month, based on availability.
- Must provide a clean, safe, and private living space.
- Should be able to offer basic amenities such as Wi-Fi, linens, and toiletries.

- Two complimentary tickets to any Saturday evening Masterpiece concert during the 24/25 season.
- Opportunity to engage with CSO musicians and gain insights into the orchestra.
- Recognition in the Cape Symphony newsletter and website (with permission).
Musician Accommodation Needs:
- Private bedroom with a comfortable bed.
- Access to a clean bathroom.
- Quiet environment conducive to practice and rest.
- Proximity to concert venues or transportation options.
Application Process for Hosts:
- Interested hosts complete the online application form below detailing their accommodation and availability.
- A brief background check and home visit (if necessary) to ensure the suitability of the accommodation.
- Hosts receive an orientation packet with guidelines and expectations.
Matching Process:
- CSO administration matches musicians with hosts based on availability, preferences, and accommodation suitability.
- Hosts and musicians are introduced via email or phone before the stay to establish communication.
Host and Musician Responsibilities:
- Hosts: Provide a welcoming environment, respect the musician’s privacy and schedule, and communicate any house rules or special instructions.
- Musicians: Respect the host’s home and property, adhere to house rules, and communicate any needs or concerns promptly.
Support and Communication:
- A dedicated program coordinator will be available to address any issues or concerns from hosts and musicians.
- Regular feedback surveys will be conducted to improve the program and ensure satisfaction for both parties.
