Leave a Legacy

Planned giving is an easy way to make a lasting contribution. Planned gifts play a crucial role in sustaining the high level of artistry and innovative programming of our concerts, expanding our music and arts education programs, and enriching and shaping the culture of our Cape community. Ways to plan your giving include bequests and wills, beneficiary designations, charitable trusts, real estate, and charitable gift annuities.

Those who inform Cape Symphony of a bequest become members of the Royston Nash Society. Royston Nash was the conductor of the Cape Symphony Orchestra from 1980-2007, and this society was founded to honor his legacy. It is not necessary to provide estate documentation; however, to ensure your gift works as you intended and to participate in the Royston Nash Society, we appreciate knowing the details of your planned gift.

Endow a Fund or Chair

Endowed Funds ensure the current and future operations of the Cape Symphony through a flow of interest and dividends. You can make gifts to an established endowment fund, or create a named fund in honor of a specific person or in a particular area of interest.

The Endowed Chairs Program allows a chair to be named in honor of a family member, friend, or an admired person or organization. A chair may be endowed in perpetuity or for a term of five or ten years, with the total amount of the gift conveyed to the Cape Symphony outright or in installments for a period of one to five years.

Volunteer

We can’t do it without you! Our mission is carried out through volunteering, concert attendance, financial gifts, fundraising events, supporting education programs, and promoting the Cape Symphony in the community.

Volunteer opportunities include staffing or hosting fundraising events, helping the Cape Symphony market events, and serving as a concert usher. Concert ushers receive free admission to the concerts they work and are responsible for helping guests find their seats for Cape Symphony performances, checking tickets, answering patron questions, and providing assistance to those with special needs. Volunteer marketing teams help promote special concerts and events throughout Cape Cod.
