Preschool
At the Cape Symphony Preschool in Barnstable, children embark on an academic and artistic journey every day. They explore numbers, letters, books, storytelling, science, and the natural world. Through music, dance, and visual arts, students also discover great artists and composers while creating their own works of art.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are the core of our music education program, offered year-round for all ages and skill levels. Set in peaceful, wooded locations, both campuses provide a nurturing environment with a diverse faculty. Recitals and community performances take place throughout the year.
Classes
The Cape Symphony offers vibrant private and group classes, along with music ensembles for all ages. Through music and dance, we aim to enrich lives and inspire others, all in line with our mission to spread joy!
Faculty
Our talented faculty is dedicated to inspiring and nurturing students of all ages. With diverse backgrounds and expertise in music and dance, they are passionate about fostering creativity and helping individuals reach their full potential. Through their guidance, we strive to create an environment where learning is both enriching and joyful.
Youth Orchestra
The Cape Symphony Youth Orchestra Program offers four levels of ensembles for young musicians (up to age 21) who play orchestral instruments. Students are placed based on ability, focusing on developing musicianship and technique while exploring great compositions. The program runs from mid-September to May, with a mission to inspire joy through music performance and education, fostering the next generation of Cape Cod musicians.
Outreach
Our Educational Outreach programs ensure all students can engage with music and the arts, driven by our mission to inspire joy. Thanks to generous funding, all programs are free for participants. LinkUp, a Carnegie Hall-designed program, enables students in grades 3-5 to perform with the Cape Symphony, singing and playing recorder or string instruments in an interactive concert. This year-long program provides free curriculum materials to students and teachers, aiming to inspire the next generation of musicians on Cape Cod.
