Broadway stars join Cape Symphony musicians for “Bravo Broadway!”

HYANNIS, MA—September 21, 2022

The Cape Symphony kicks off the CapePOPS! Series with Bravo Broadway!, featuring three of Broadway’s hottest stars. On October 15 and 16, these veteran performers will take the audience on a journey through the decades of musical theater, with hits from top shows including The Music Man, Cabaret, Funny Girl, Wicked, and Dear Evan Hansen, to name a few.

Music offerings for adults and youth; auditions open for Youth Orchestra

HYANNIS, MA—August 31, 2022

Music classes and ensembles led by experienced faculty, private lessons in all major instruments and voice, and seats in the Cape Symphony Youth Orchestra are available this fall for adults and youth. The Cape Symphony fall semester runs from September 6, 2022 to January 20, 2023 at the Barnstable and Falmouth campuses.

Fun-Filled Pops Variety Show for Music Fans of All Ages on Friday, August 26

HYANNIS, MA—August 2, 2022

The Cape Cod National Seashore’s outdoor amphitheater at Salt Pond makes a beautiful setting for a summer concert from the Cape Symphony! The fifth annual Symphony at the Seashore is Friday, August 26, 2022 at 7:00 PM. Pre-concert activities for kids and parents will be offered from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM. Admission is free.

Community leaders bring passion and skills to non-profit board

HYANNIS, MA—July 26, 2022

The Cape Symphony has named six new members to the Board of Trustees for the 2022/23 year.

Anthony Panebianco of Yarmouth Port is now Board Chair. Dennis resident Jayne Mullen-Sampson serves as Vice Chair. Steven Heslinga of Centerville remains the Treasurer, and Theresa Egan of Cotuit is Secretary of the 25-member board.

A wide variety of musical genres and artists serves the mission to “Inspire Joy”

HYANNIS, MA—July 12, 2022

The Cape Symphony has an exciting slate of new performances scheduled for the upcoming 2022-23 season, designed to inspire joy among audiences. Guests at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center will “tour” Australia with the ongoing Passport series; drop in on the Roaring ‘20s and the Romantic era; and revisit musical moments from childhood. Other highlights include the songs of Aretha Franklin and a show of Broadway favorites, plus the annual traditions “Holiday on the Cape” and “New Year’s Day Party.”
