Here on Cape Cod we know that warm days and balmy breezes lie ahead, and Cape Symphony is planning beautiful music to accompany lovely summer nights. We are thrilled to announce that legendary singer-songwriter Livingston Taylor will join the Cape Symphony Orchestra in concert at the Cape Cod Melody Tent on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 7:00 pm.
Our own Joe Marchio will conduct a lively and heartwarming program of music spanning the decades, from rollicking Broadway tunes and swinging jazz standards to folk favorites and popular selections from the Great American Songbook.
Special guest Livingston Taylor’s career as a performer and songwriter spans more than 50 years. His beautifully crafted original songs and sparkling interpretations of beloved classics have earned him countless enthusiastic listeners worldwide. From his earliest coffeehouse days to tours with Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, Fleetwood Mac, Jimmy Buffett, and Jethro Tull, Livingston has never lost his love for live performance. A warm and natural performer, he peppers his shows with personal stories and anecdotes that entertain and delight audiences.
