Cape Symphony Announces "Crescendo 2024: An Evening of Joy" Gala on May 23

WEST BARNSTABLE, MA—April 17, 2024

Fundraising event for arts education programs includes dinner and entertainment

Cape Symphony is pleased to announce its Crescendo 2024: An Evening of Joy gala at Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at from 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM. The gala benefits Cape Symphony’s far-reaching arts education programs.

The fundraiser will feature cocktails and appetizers, a plated dinner, and live and silent auctions, all in a stunning venue overlooking Nantucket Sound.

Jae Cosmos Lee, Concertmaster of the Cape Symphony Orchestra, has curated an ensemble of Cape Symphony musicians to perform chamber music throughout cocktail hour and dinner.

Chuck Dukas will serve as Host and Live Auctioneer. Originally from Dedham MA, Mr. Dukas now lives in Los Angeles, where he is a charity auctioneer and professional warm-up act for The Price is Right, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, The Masked Singer, and The Voice.

Gala attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a raffle and a round of “Fund-A-Need.” Proceeds from the event will support access to Cape Symphony’s music and arts education programs for youth. “In 2023, Cape Symphony awarded $80,000 in scholarships and other assistance to students,” says Charles Turner, Cape Symphony’s Director of Advancement. “This year, we would like to raise $100,000 at the gala to increase our commitment to access to arts education for all."
