Precautionary measure taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19
HYANNIS, MA—March 13, 2020
The Cape Symphony has been monitoring the evolving response to the spread of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus. Every day has presented new information, and out of the utmost caution for the well-being of Cape Symphony customers, staff, musicians, and volunteers, the decision has been made to postpone the Perfectly Paired concert originally scheduled for Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5.
No events will be taking place at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center for the next four weeks, in the best interests of public health and in accordance with recommendations from local, state and federal officials.
“This is very unfortunate news, but we feel it is the right thing to do to help lessen the potential spread of COVID-19 and protect our community,” said Linda Mawhinney, Chief Operating Officer.
A new date for the Perfectly Paired concert has yet to be set, but ticket holders will be contacted with more details as soon as possible. At this time, scheduled concerts in May and June will occur as planned.
