Offerings for students of all ages at West Barnstable and Falmouth campuses
WEST BARNSTABLE, MA—August 26, 2025
Cape Symphony Conservatory announces Fall semester classes for children, teenagers, and adults at its West Barnstable and Falmouth campuses. Most classes begin the week of September 15.
For children, there are classes for every age and stage:
- In Music Together®, children aged 0-5 and caregivers enjoy musical activities in a playful setting.
- Music Explorers focuses on fundamentals for ages 4-6.
- Piano Explorers encompasses two levels of instruction for ages 5-9.
- Percussion Explorers for ages 5-9 teaches rhythm patterns and dynamics with a variety of instruments.
- In Guitar Explorers, aspiring strummers aged 6-9 learn simple chords and songs.
- Cape Symphony Singers teaches students aged 5-9 how to sing on pitch and in harmony.
- In Recorder Karate (new!) students aged 6-10 earn different colored “belts” to mark progress through levels of play.
- Drawing class is offered for ages 8-12.
For students aged 14-22:
- Press Play: Intro to Music Production (new!) engages students in hands-on composing, arranging, and recording projects that explore the fundamentals of music creation in a digital environment.
- Rock Band (new!) students will learn to play classic and modern rock songs and perform live as a group. Guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboardists and vocalists of all skill levels are welcome.
- Songwriting guides students in writing their own music and discovering their voice.
For teenagers and adults:
- Intro to Piano is offered for beginners and intermediate players.
- Intro to Ukelele is great fun for ages 15+.
- Students can learn or refresh guitar skills in Intro to Guitar.
- Ensembles, including Clarinet Choir (new!), Flute Choir, and Seaside Strings, provide an opportunity to make beautiful music in a group focused on your instrument.
Cape Symphony Conservatory also offers private music lessons in all major instruments and voice for children and adults from beginning through advanced levels. An expert faculty with a wide range of talents and personalities ensures an excellent student/teacher match. Recitals are held at each semester’s end, and community performance opportunities are offered throughout the year.
