Cape Symphony Reschedules April Performances of “Perfectly Paired” and Annual Crescendo Gala

Cape Symphony office closed; staff working remotely

HYANNIS, MA—March 18, 2020

As announced last week, the “Perfectly Paired” concert originally scheduled for Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5 will not take place. The Cape Symphony is pleased to announce that the concert is rescheduled to Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11, 2021.

Our guests, award-winning twin pianists Christina and Michelle Naughton, have agreed to appear on that date next April. Ticketholders for “Perfectly Paired” will be contacted by the Cape Symphony Box Office about the process for exchanging tickets to next season.

The Cape Symphony has also decided to postpone the May 14 Crescendo Gala, a fundraiser to benefit the Cape Symphony & Conservatory. The new date is Thursday, May 20, 2021, and the Gala will take place at the Wychmere Beach Club.

Given the latest guidelines and restrictions, and in the best interests of staff and customers, the Cape Symphony Box Office and administrative office closed on March 16. The closure will be reassessed on a weekly basis. The Cape Symphony staff is working remotely and responding to phone calls and emails, and customers may purchase tickets and gift certificates at capesymphony.org.

“Our highest priority is the well-being of our customers, staff, musicians, and volunteers,” said Linda Mawhinney, Chief Operating Officer. “We appreciate the public’s support and promise that the music of the Cape Symphony will return.”

At this time, scheduled concerts in May and June will occur as planned.
