Masterpiece 3
From classical music to ballet to opera and beyond, Italy’s contributions to the art of music are undeniable. This season’s Passport concert celebrates from the best of the best, with stunning works by Rossini and Respighi, and soul-stirring Vivaldi concertos performed by your very own Cape Symphony stars. Molto Benne!
Darko Butorac, Conductor
Darko Butorac has established himself as a conductor in demand with orchestras throughout Europe and the Americas. He currently serves as the Music Director of the Asheville Symphony and the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, and has guest conducted the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Neuss (Germany), the Rubinstein Philharmonic of Lodz (Poland), the Xiamen Symphony (China), and the Slovenian Radio Symphony Orchestra, to name a few.
The Masterpiece Series concerts also feature the Musically Speaking pre-concert talks, insightful and entertaining looks into the music you are about to hear. These free 30-minute talks begin one hour prior to each Masterpiece Series concert.
