Come in from the cold to enjoy dinner or drinks at twenty-eight Atlantic, and take in A Taste of Jazz as well. At the Listening Lounge on Thursday evenings, warm vinyl tones, live DJ sets, and curated soundscapes fill the dining room with a mood that’s equal parts intimacy and edge. Friday and Saturday nights, the restaurant comes alive with captivating jazz artists from Cape Symphony Presents, perfectly paired with inspired seasonal fare. Reservations are recommended.

Daniel Ian Smith is a saxophonist, flutist, educator, and composer with over 30 years’ experience. He is a Professor at Berklee College of Music, and in demand as a clinician, guest soloist, and lecturer with appearances throughout the United States, Japan, Germany, Canada, Mexico, Israel and England. Recordings and performances by his ensemble The New World Jazz Composers Octet (NWJCO) have received rave reviews in DownBeat, JazzTimes, Cadence, ArtsFuse and All About Jazz magazines. His groups The New World Jazz Composers Octet and The Latin Side of Billy Strayhorn have been featured at festivals and concert halls locally and internationally.
Cuban pianist, composer, arranger, and bandleader Anibal Cruz is a Berklee graduate in Composition and Jazz performance. He's the bandleader of Clave & Blues (Cuban & Latin Music Orchestra) and The Blue Island Project (Latin Jazz quartet). Anibal is featured on several recordings and has shared the stage with artists like Paquito de Rivera, Armando Manzanero, Egui Castrillo, Joe McCarthy, Ruben Rodrigez, Alain Perez, Berta Rojas, and many others. He's toured internationally in Europe, Latin America, and the United States.

Guitarist and award-winning composer Jim Robitaille has performed at The Newport Jazz Festival, The Rochester International Jazz Festival, Baird Auditorium at the Smithsonian's Museum of Natural History, and The Wang Center in Boston, among others, and appeared on more than 30 recordings as a leader and sideman, including film and television work. Jim is an international clinician, an applied jazz guitar instructor, small jazz ensemble and guitar ensemble director, and founder of the Performance Jam Session Series on the Jazz Faculty at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He has performed concerts and taught throughout the Northeast. Jim studied guitar and improvisation at Berklee College of Music.

Award-winning Argentinian guitarist Dario Acosta Teich has spearheaded jazz ensembles, composed for orchestras, and improvised with jazz icons, all while cultivating his Latin American roots. He has collaborated and performed with Argentine greats, and explored a world of other sounds. Dario has appeared at major festivals and key venues in North and South America, the Middle East, West Africa, and Europe. He has released five albums and contributed to countless others as an engineer, producer, and musician. In addition to live and recorded music, Dario has begun to explore collaborative livestreams/videos that reimagine jazz standards and international hits in distinctly Latin ways.
