Education: B. Mus. with High Distinction, University of Michigan School of Music, 1978, winner of U of M undergraduate concerto competition and recipient of Eugene Ormandy award; Mus. Ed, Antioch New England Graduate School, 1989; violin studies with Paul Makanowitzky, Joseph Silverstein, Ivan Galamian, Ronald Copes; chamber music studies with Eugene Bossart, Gustav Rosseels, Jerome Jelinek, Eugene Lehner, Luis Batle.
Performance: Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, Boston Ballet Orchestra, Boston Classical Orchestra, New Orchestra of Boston, Banchetto Musicale (now Boston Baroque), Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra, Meeting House Chamber Music Festival, Monomoy Chamber Ensemble. Currently performing with Cape Cod’s baroque chamber ensemble Courante, which plays music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries on period instruments and using historically informed performance practices.
Teaching: Cape Symphony Teaching artist; Strings Coordinator, Cape Symphony Youth Orchestras; Conductor of CSYO Repertory Strings and Debut Strings ensembles; visiting instructor in humanities curriculum, Sunbridge College; courses in music and curriculum at Renewal, a summer program for teachers.
