Janice Paine is the Personnel Manager of the Cape Symphony Youth Orchestra Program. She is a licensed and certified Massachusetts and North Carolina music educator (grades K-12), having taught general music for the last twenty-five years. As a Choral Director, she has conducted school choruses for elementary, middle, and high school students.
Janice has worked in management for several performing arts organizations. She was the Manager of Education and Outreach Programs for the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, developing and managing all education and community partnership programs for the symphony. She was also the Publicist for The Boston Ballet, coordinating all local and national press relations for the company.
For twelve years Janice was a Corporate Meeting Planner for John Hancock Financial Services in Boston. She created, planned, and executed national and international conferences and events for the company, including the Boston and New York City marathons and the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics. For four years, Janice was a member of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus; the official chorus of the Boston Symphony; singing under the directorship of conductors such as Seiji Ozawa, Colin Davis, Andre Previn, and John Williams. She has also been a member of the Chatham Chorale.
Janice holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in music education and voice from Boston University and lives in Chatham. She has reached the master level in photography competitions as a member of the Cape Cod Viewfinders Camera Club.
