It’s a party and everyone’s invited! Our annual tradition is a fantastic start to 2020, with waltzes and marches combined with pop hits and Broadway favorites in the spirit of a Viennese New Year celebration.
This year, expect a high-energy performance from local favorite Siren Mayhew and the exhilarating trio TAKE3 starring Lindsay Deutsch. Siren is back by popular demand, and will wow us all with her powerhouse vocals. We're also happy to have Lindsay return after her fiery performance of Stravinsky’s “Firebird Suite” in 2014. Lindsay, Juilliard graduate pianist Jason Stoll, and Los Angeles-based cellist Leah Metzler make up TAKE3, and with a flair for the wild and unexpected, the refinement of rigorous musical training, and an infusion of rock-star charisma.Together, these dynamic musicians and the Cape Symphony will raise the roof!
The program includes popular pop hits from Adele, Imagine Dragons and Luis Fonsi, as well the traditional New Year’s waltzes and marches. A little something for everyone!
The New Year’s Day Party also features the Vienna Café, offering coffee and delectable Viennese pastries made by Gourmet Caterers, available for purchase from 1:30 to 2:45 PM in the senior cafeteria at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center. For this special occasion, champagne by the glass will be available for purchase in the Vienna Café. Come early and enjoy a pre-concert toast with your friends!
