About Today’s Program

Imagine The Beatles playing live in concert with a symphony orchestra! What would that have sounded like? Find out for yourself when Classical Mystery Tour performs with the Cape Symphony!

The last time we presented this amazing show, the Cape Cod Times said, “These four musicians are jaw-droppingly accurate…the concept is a Beatles concert if the lads had been accompanied by a gifted symphony orchestra.”

The four musicians in Classical Mystery Tour look and sound just like The Beatles. Classical Mystery Tour has been wowing pops audiences for over 25 years, performing as The Beatles with hundreds of orchestras around the world. From early Beatles music on through the solo years, Classical Mystery Tour is the best of The Beatles like you’ve never heard them: totally live.

“When Classical Mystery Tour performs, you cannot believe your eyes and ears,” says Jung-Ho Pak, Cape Symphony Artistic Director & Conductor. “You’ll swear you’re at a Beatles concert, in which the greatest band ever plays all their show-stopping numbers and nostalgic favorites from the early sixties to 1970.”

Classical Mystery Tour: The Beatles Tribute features more than two dozen Beatles tunes performed exactly as they were originally recorded. Hear “Penny Lane” with a live trumpet section, experience the beauty of “Yesterday” with an acoustic guitar and string quartet, enjoy the classical/rock blend on “I Am the Walrus,” and relish the cascading crescendos on “A Day in the Life.” Plus “A Hard Day’s Night,” “The Long and Winding Road,” and many more.

"We really make an effort to sound exactly like the originals," explains Jim Owen, the founder of Classical Mystery Tour, who also portrays John Lennon in the show. “The power of the emotional connection this music has with audiences is beyond words."

“Most Beatles fans never had the opportunity to experience a live show,” says Jung-Ho. “Together, Classical Mystery Tour and the Cape Symphony will provide that opportunity – and it will be the most amazing Beatles show that never was!”
