Cellist Zuill Bailey performs with the Cape Symphony

April Concert Stars GRAMMY-Winning Cellist

GRAMMY-Award winning cellist Zuill Bailey will be at the forefront of the upcoming Impressions of Don Quixote concert next month.

Zuill and his cello will represent Don Quixote in a musical story, known as a “tone poem,” by Richard Strauss that depicts the various adventures of the would-be knight and his sidekick Sancho Panza.

Zuill is an internationally renowned soloist, artistic director, and teacher. His rare combination of celebrated artistry, technical wizardry and engaging personality has secured his place as one of the most sought-after cellists today. Zuill won a Best Solo Performance GRAMMY in 2017 for his live recording of “Tales of Hemingway.” He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the Peabody Conservatory and the Juilliard School respectively.

Zuill has appeared at the Kennedy Center, the United Nations, and Carnegie Hall, and with symphonies across the country and around the world, including a live broadcast and DVD release of the Beethoven Triple Concerto performed in Tel Aviv with Itzhak Perlman conducting the Israel Philharmonic. Luckily, you won't have to travel over the bridge to see Zuill play. He'll be joining your Cape Symphony for Impressions of Don Quixote on April 7 and 8. Get tickets online or call 508.362.1111.
