“What is the secret of nature? Maybe only the wind and birds know…” That’s the question Oscar-winning composer Tan Dun set out to answer with “Secret of Winds and Birds.”

Beethoven is, of course, revered as one of the greatest composers of all time. When we think about him as a person, we usually picture the cranky, increasingly deaf man we’ve seen in popular culture.

At the Cape Symphony, our mission is to inspire joy. We do this by creating experiences that are so entertaining, audiences walk out of the concert hall beaming from ear to ear.

Get ready to hear beautiful voices wafting over the Salt Pond and out across the Cape Cod National Seashore! On Friday August 23, the Cape Symphony appears for the fourth annual Symphony at the Seashore. You’re in for a treat – four amazing singers will be with us and it promises to be a magical evening.

Our season opener, Beethoven on the Cape, features music inspired by nature, and in particular, by Cape Cod.

Relive the thrilling suspense of JAWS as the Cape Symphony plays the iconic score with the full movie, start to finish, projected on a big screen. The special performance on Friday, August 9, will kick off the inaugural Beach Road Weekend on Martha’s Vineyard, the island where the movie was filmed.
