Luke Rogers is an accomplished professional musician and educator based in Manhattan, NY. He holds degrees from Northwestern University (BM) and Southern Methodist University (MM). While studying in Texas, Luke performed with several major ensembles, including the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Opera, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and the Houston Symphony—where he performed for a full season following graduation.
Alongside his performance work, Luke developed a thriving private studio in Dallas, mentoring dozens of young bassists at high schools throughout North Texas.
Since relocating to New York City in 2024, Luke has joined both the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra and the Cape Symphony. He also performs regularly with the Philadelphia Ballet, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, D.C.
Luke has attended many renowned summer festivals, including the Aspen Music Festival as a fellow, Brevard Music Center, and Texas Music Festival. This summer, he joins the Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, SC, as an orchestral fellow.
Outside of music, Luke enjoys soccer and exploring new hiking trails.
