Becca's journey as an educator began at The Guild for Human Services, a residential school supporting children with special needs and behavioral challenges. During her four and a half years there, she advanced from residential assistant to teaching assistant, and eventually to lead teacher. While at The Guild, Becca also earned her master’s degree in Special Education.
She then transitioned to the Newton Public Schools' Early Childhood Program, where she served as a lead teacher in their integrated preschool program, and it was here that Becca discovered her passion for working with preschool-aged children. She held this position for four years, before returning with her family to Cape Cod, where she grew up.
For the past two years, Becca has been an Early Childhood Specialist with The Sandwich Partnership for Families, where she plans and implements free programs for young children and their families. Since the fall of 2023, she has also been teaching at the Nature Preschool Explorer Program at Mass Audubon, combining her love for education and the outdoors.
Becca resides in East Sandwich with her husband and son (a recent graduate of Cape Symphony Preschool!) In her free time you can find Becca growing things in her garden, and dyeing textiles with plants and flowers.
