Community leaders bring passion and skills to non-profit board

HYANNIS, MA—July 26, 2022

The Cape Symphony has named six new members to the Board of Trustees for the 2022/23 year.

Anthony Panebianco of Yarmouth Port is now Board Chair. Dennis resident Jayne Mullen-Sampson serves as Vice Chair. Steven Heslinga of Centerville remains the Treasurer, and Theresa Egan of Cotuit is Secretary of the 25-member board.

A wide variety of musical genres and artists serves the mission to “Inspire Joy”

HYANNIS, MA—July 12, 2022

The Cape Symphony has an exciting slate of new performances scheduled for the upcoming 2022-23 season, designed to inspire joy among audiences. Guests at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center will “tour” Australia with the ongoing Passport series; drop in on the Roaring ‘20s and the Romantic era; and revisit musical moments from childhood. Other highlights include the songs of Aretha Franklin and a show of Broadway favorites, plus the annual traditions “Holiday on the Cape” and “New Year’s Day Party.”

Rescheduled “Passport” event stars Eileen Ivers and Maeve Gilchrist, features Irish masterpieces

HYANNIS, MA—May 18, 2022

For the first time in its popular “Passport” series, the Cape Symphony presents an adventurous journey to Ireland. Passport to Ireland will feature an eclectic array of symphonic and folk music from the Emerald Isle on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29, 2022, rescheduled from January due to the snowstorm. Tickets are still available for May 28, and May 29 is sold out.
