The Cape Symphony Orchestra will present Ratatouille featuring a screening of the complete film with Oscar® and Grammy®-winning composer Michael Giacchino’s musical score performed live. Fans of all ages will experience the scope and grandeur of this beloved film in a live symphonic concert experience on Saturday, July 26 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, July 27 at 3:00 PM at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center, 744 West Main Street, Hyannis.
“Ratatouille” re-teams Giacchino (“Jojo Rabbit,” “The Incredibles 2,” “Inside Out”) with Academy Award®-winning director Brad Bird (“Incredibles 2,” “Incredibles”) as they take you into an entirely new and original world where the unthinkable combination of a rat and a 5-star gourmet restaurant come together for the ultimate fish-out-of-water tale.
In the Oscar-winning film, a rat named Remy dreams of becoming a great chef despite his family's wishes, and the obvious problem of being a rat in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession. When fate places Remy in the sewers of Paris, he finds himself ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau. Remy's passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that turns the world of Paris upside down.
